This rod was conceived in conjunction with Chris Yates, who named it
'The Nadder' after
one of his favourite local rivers. It has become his preferred rod for fish
that don't need two hands to lift out.
The Nadder
has a light, crisp action for trotting. Crucian carp, roach, rudd, perch and
modest tench are all within its capabilities, as are
grayling, dace and chub. Although not primarily designed for them, it
can also cope well with large chub and tench.
This exclusive limited edition rod will be the
sixth of its type to be built. Its elegance, quality of materials and
construction will of course, be of the very highest order. It is a 3-piece 12' float fishing rod for 3-4
lbs BS reel lines, with a whole cane butt, a whole cane middle with eight
inches of split cane spliced into its fine end, and a split cane tip. It
will be fitted with hard chromed stand-off rings for float fishing, and
aircraft grade aluminium handle fittings for lightness. The ferrules are
nickel silver.
As we have not yet finished the final fitting up of the rod,
handle length and whippings silk colours will be chosen by the rod's
buyer.
This rod will be completed before Christmas 2011 if
ordered before mid-October.
