Built in 1997, this rod has not been fished with -yet. What a lovely, precise, energetic wand it is. If rods could talk (they can’t- naturally, I’ve tried), this one would be pleading to be taken fishing. What fun you’ll have with it on the upper reaches of the Derbyshire Wye, the Hampshire Bourne, the West Dart or the Dorset Piddle.
It’s a super length for smaller streams, and not so small streams if you’re wading.Very light (3.6 oz) but steely, it’ll cast nicely with a weight forward #3 line or a #4, either double taper or weight forward. I firmly maintain that a really first class split cane seven footer can’t be beaten.
As you can see from the accompanying pictures, this is a strikingly attractive rod in perfect condition. Its price is extraordinarily reasonable and it’s available now, in readiness for next Spring.
