Paul Cook Tonkin Bamboo ‘Tench’ Float Case.

Exquisitely decorated by Paul Cook for Edward Barder in 2003. Floats up to 11" (28cm) long.

£500.00

Pictures -my pictures anyway- can’t do Paul Cook’s pen & ink drawings justice. Knowing of my passion for tench and tench fishing, Paul decorated this case with portraits of the fish, floats and lilies.

I used to supply Paul with Tonkin bamboo off-cuts for his float case production and in return, he very generously gave me two of these works of art. I have never used them. I’m quite old. I don’t have much space in my modest gaff. It’s time for these float cases to be enjoyed by someone who will appreciate them as much as I have.

This case takes floats up to 11′ long. Its lid is very artfully made from the bamboo’s natural inter-nodal diaphragm. It has an aluminium thread that screws into the brass collar of the case.

Paul Cook’s Indian ink inscription is: Hand Made and Decorated by Paul Cook for Edward Barder. 03

Unique, beautiful and not to me missed if you’re a lover of hand made floats and float cases.
