I’ll be showing the new range of Super Parabolic cane fly rods we’ve built with original Pezon et Michel blanks and components. Ils sont absolument superbes, as they’ll soon be saying in Yorkshire.
You can come and see me when you tire of ferrets, interview sofas, hunting for scavengers and ice cream. The police will be there too, looking for the i that’s missing from BASC.
It’s going to have the variety and atmosphere of the Game Fairs we enjoyed about fifty years ago. Do come along. Harrogate’s lovely at this time of year. My great uncle Bob and auntie Bun lived there, on the Stray. Bob was a top man at ICI. He was heavily involved in the development of Terylene. When my father was a boy, Bob gave him samples of the stuff to use as fishing line. The other boys had to make do with silk lines and gut hook lengths.
