My esteemed colleague Colin Whitehouse used to make the best angler’s catapults available to humanity. He stopped making them about twenty five years ago and they are now extremely rare.
This catapult has an Elm U-shaped frame. The handle is made from Elm and Teak, very artfully conjoined.
The fork and the handle are permanently glued together and for extra security and class, there’s a split cane spigot twixt one and t’other.
The pouch has a leather toggle. The elastics are secured with swivels and split rings with leather discs on the frame ends to protect the wood.
Did I mention that these catapults are extremely rare, beautifully hand made and incredibly good at sending an angler’s bait and ground bait to its destination?
This example is in superb near-mint condition. It retains its excellent varnish finish and is ready to complete your carefully selected collection of angling accoutrements.
