As the accompanying papers explain, these floats were made by Reg Righyni for Norman Roose, a founding member of the Grayling Society. Norman Roose gave them to Mike Mee. They were subsequently acquired by the then GS treasurer, Keith Mason, at a Grayling Scociety auction.
They are in super original condition, come in a Grayling Society packet with the original letter of provenance and a copy of R V Righyni’s book, Grayling.
The plain green bodied float has a nylon loop whipped to its wire stem and a red balsa top. The red topped float with a camouflaged body has a wire loop at the end of its stem. The yellow topped float with a camouflaged body also had a wire loop whipped on to the end of its wire stem.
This is a superb set of historically important floats, made by their designer. The provenance and the book are rather nice extras.
